Leash - Browser Shell

Do you use hosting without root?
You don't have ssh but you want shell access?
Leash is for you

Leash use jQuery Terminal to create access to bash Unix/Linux shell from the browser. (With few features written in JavaScript). It's not full terminal like shell in a box, AjaxTerm or Buterfly but you don't need to install anything on the server (so you don't need root access) just upload and run.

You can also use cordova application that use leash to have access to android shell.

Install

Just upload all the files on the server, run and follow the instruction (you must be sure that cgi-bin/python.py and cgi-bin/cmd.py have execute permissions - the second only if you will use this shell)
